Puerto Rico Bucket List (100 Things to do in PR Before you Die) 1. Ir al Yunque / Go to El Yunque Y no sólo ir, tienes que subir a la cima y hay que bañarse en las cascadas. Not only visit el Yunque, but climb to the top and dip in the waterfalls. 2. Ir al Morro / Go to El Morro Si tiene niños, volar una chiringa en la grama frente a El Morro sera una experiencia inolvidable If you have children, you must fly a kite with them in the grass in front of El Morro. 3. Comerse una piragua / Eat a piragua (It’s like a snowcone) Típicamente se encuantran piragüeros en el Viejo San Juan y otras plazas de PR. Se raspa la piragua de un bloque de hiejo y se le echa un syrup de fruta por encima. People who serve piraguas can be found in Old San Juan en other PR plazas. They scrape ice from a block of ice and put fruit syrup on top. 4. Es recomendable ir cuando no hay mucha luna y cuando no hay lluvia. Vieques’s bio bay is the brightest in the world. It is advisable to visit when there is barely any moonlight and no rain. 8. Ir en expedición por río Tanamá / Go on en expedition through Tanamá River El río Tanamá se puede visitar por Arecibo. Para los más aventureros, existe un camino por el área del Observatorio de Arecibo. También hay muchas compañías que ofrecen excursiones. Tanamá River can be reached from the town of Arecibo. For those more adventurous, there is a path near the Arecibo Observatory. Many companies also offer excursions. 9. Ver las cuevas de Camuy / See the Camuy Caves Las Cuevas de Camuy son de las cuevas más largas del mundo. The Camuy Caves are one of the largest cave systems in the world. 10. Comer helado en Lares / Eat Ice Cream in the town of Lares Lares es famoso por la variedad de sabores de helados como maíz, aguacate. habichuelas, ect que venden en el pueblo. The town of Lares is famous for the variety of ice cream flavors like corn, avocado, beans, etc., that can be found in their plaza. 11. Visitar Castillo Serrallés / Visit the Serrallés Castle El Castillo Serrallés fue construido por la familia Serrallés, dueños de la destilería de DonQ. Es un castillo hermoso en el cual se celebran muchas actividades importantes. The Serrallés Castle was constructed by the Serrallés family, owners of the DonQ rum distillery. It is a beautiful castle where people celebrate many important activities. 12. Ver Parque de las Bombas en Ponce – Visit the Historic Ponce Fire Station Muchos turistas visitan el pueblo de Ponce, donde entre otros lugares, puedes ver la estación de Bomberos más antigua de Puerto Rico. Subir al Cerro Guilarte / Hike to the Top of Guilarte Peak El Cerro Guilarte es el tercer pico más alto de Puerto Rico. Subirlo toma menos de una hora en un camino cómodo. La vista es hermosa. The Guilarte Peak is the third highest peak in Puerto Rico. Going up takes less than an hour in a comfortable trail. The view is beautiful. 17.
